Experience

I am on leave from the Economics Ph. D. program at Stanford after a triple major in Physics, Mathematics, and Writing at Williams College. I have worked as a teacher, tutor, camp organizer, writer, and editor in the meanwhile and enjoy teaching a variety of students and subjects. I have thousands of hours of one-on-one teaching, tutoring, and curriculum development experience over the past 15 years (8 years in Palo Alto) and I am familiar with classes at local schools, many Stanford classes, local and national Standards, and standardized tests. I have had success tutoring local high school and Stanford students in paper writing, statistics, economics, math, and physics. I have taught software engineers and other professionals statistics, writing, and machine learning. I also enjoy tutoring younger kids (5th - 8th grade) in writing, math, and science, as well as preparing them for the upper and middle SSAT and ISEE tests. I have advised successful applicants to Ivy League schools, Stanford, MIT, Williams College, UCs and other top undergraduate programs as well as top National and International Business (HEC, INSEAD) and other graduate programs (such as the Singularity Institute [~2% admission rate] Graduate Studies Program at NASA). I have also worked as a textbook author and editor for CK-12. I Authored several chapters for physics and math textbooks, wrote a solution manual to an entire physics textbook (solving every problem) and compiled, edited, and illustrated a highly reviewed Astronomy Textbook. I have also helped organize a yearly science-themed summer camp and prepared students for math and physics contests.
