I am currently completing PhD work at Stanford university and work at the Center to Support Excellence in Teaching. I hold a BS in Chemistry (4.0 overall GPA) and a MA in Teaching English as a Second Language (4.0 overall GPA). I was named outstanding chemistry student in my graduating class. I was nominated to Phi Beta Kappa and awarded a Fulbright Grant for post-graduate study.
Experience
I am a certified teacher with 10 years of high school teaching experience (AP Chemistry, IB HL Chemistry, Pre-AP Physics). I have taught at a range of schools, including public schools, an elite private school and international schools abroad. I have achieved excellent class results, including several classes with the majority of students scoring a perfect 5 on the AP chemistry exam. I am an IB chemistry examiner, responsible for marking Internal Assessment work and exam papers. I hold 99th percentile scores on the GRE, GMAT and ACT. I have over 15 years tutoring experience and enjoy bringing my classroom experience to the one-on-one setting, where I can spend more time getting to know a student both academically and personally.

I am a good communicator and have developed a straight-forward, example-based and interactive approach to explaining difficult concepts. On a personal note, I have a wide range of interests from dance (Flamenco, Salsa, Contemporary) to languages (Italian, French, Arabic, Spanish) and travel.
