Education

I graduated Cum Lade from CSU Sacramento in Spring 2011 with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Philosophy. I'm interested in tutoring around the Sacramento area.

Experience

I am a certified Sacramento County Office of Education AVID tutor, and enjoy the tutoring style. I specialize in the Socratic method, which is essentially teaching through leading questions. I also specialize in re-mediating missed concepts, and find that this is usually at the core of the reasons why people need tutoring. I have also instructed at a company which specializes in mathematics tutoring in Folsom, CA. In high school, I scored in the 90th percentile on the mathematics section of the SAT. I also scored 770 on the quantitative Graduate Readiness Examination (GRE). I have taken almost every mathematics class you can take in Sacramento (at any level), and even some that are not offered here (at Texas A&M). These include half of the graduate program at CSU Sacramento. I know my stuff!
